"safe for dual pane (outside mount)"???

Recommended Posts

I had a friend come over with this Gila film that his dad had bought at Lowes and it was a dark film that said this......

My question is what are they saying? Mount it on the outside of the glass? Like a cheap old Gila film would last in the weather....

I was just looking at the Gila website.....just for kicks....and saw the statement again and thought I would ask here if anyone has a real clue what that would mean.....

yeah and the "black" is a 6% LT......lets pop some glass.....

My friends dad read that it was dual pane safe and was ready for him to put it on.....didn't read the (outside mount) bit.....and argued about it.

I had informed my friend about the facts of film and he knew better but his dad is like 80 and won't listen.

-unsafe link edited-

lower left hand corner of "the other items you might consider..."

it is a film removal kit...with free scraper.

Reason for edit: That URL looked fishy...cpfilms dot biz that lead to an exe file...

yep, last residential job I did had that crap mounted on the inside. I was plesantly surprised at how easy my R&R was!!!! Shiz just fell off the glass. literally...

The lady showed me the box, and I pointed to the bold lettering that said "outside mount on dual pane"

She replied with, "oops"
