Guest coolrides
I have been tinting cars for mates and mates of mates ect, and now I want to expand to customers outside of this ring, I have made up little business cards to put on cards to give to people and put on cars wipers at cruises, car parks or people I talk to in pubs lol. I sort of nervous because what do you do if you get a car you cant do, what do you tell the customer for wasting thier time all day with thier car and you couldnt do it, prob just nervous of jumping in at the deep end but can only tint friends cars for so long. Guest mhun9180
At the end of the day it's just glass. Just don't get yourself in a knot when things go wrong. Sit down, look at the door or back glass logically and take your time. It's handy to have someone close by that can come help you or better yet, use this site to ask questions on cars you have coming up so you don't dissappoint anyone. tint_detective
If you're unsure if you can do a certain vehicle that comes your way, just be up front with them and let them know you are unfamiliar with that particular vehicle and you will give it your best try..... I've had to do it once and I hated having to tell the guy I had his car all day and not tint it.... I told him I would be better of to pay him not to tint it rather than waste anymore film.... Good luck at it, try not bite off more than you can chew...
Fiveofeen
its a fun gamble. When I look back at how I was when I started in Jan compared to now... well WOW I have come a long way. Dont ever F with a customer and you should make out fine in the end.

Guest GETITWET
Just look at every car you do as practice. And that it has to be perfect, DO NOT PROMISE ANY COMPLETION TIMES,that will hurt if ya tell someone one hour and 6 later you just figured it out. Fiveofeen
If you are serious, talk with a mentor and a business advisor. I would be so up s**t creek if I did not have a large background in aftermarket accessories, being a service writer and close to completing my business degree. Guest darkdan
Just avoid the hard ones for a while. It's easy, "How much to [insert hard POS here]?" Your response, "$600 with my dyed film. $1100 for my HP film." "But the other guy said $99." "Go to him."
