Tolerant...but not that tolerant!

Okay....I think I am finally calm now..lol I scheduled an install last week to do 16 panes of doublehung windows for this lady. During the estimate I offered her a hell of a deal...I mean a hell of a deal on some sunset bronze-30. windows face south west...yada yada yada ... I had some left over from a big commercial job that was already paid for. Well I call her this morning to let her know I would be there within 30 minutes....She goes balistic on me :thumb ..."Didnt you remember I have a Dr's appontment at 12 noon today and you said you would be here by now. So I am human and this is the first time I forgot an appointment time (I would of been 30 minutes late from the actual appointment time set) I apologized profusely and apologized again... But she wouldnt let it go..trying to tell me I was coming off like this was some sort of joke and not a big deal. I nicely explained that I was sorry if I had come off like that but her business was important to me and I do not want to get into a squabble over this and instead lets try and resolve the issue at hand... Then she still wont let it go and said well this conversion is going to come to an end and I will call you back when I feel the time is right. I bit my tongue and said thank you and hung up. After about a minute of going over the conversation in my head I get pi$$ed off and call her back and leave a message on her voicemail saying: "Hello, I just wanted to let you know that dont worry about calling me back to reschedule as I do not want your business anymore. Please try and have another window film company come out and offer you the same great deal as I did...Good Luck with that. You are the rudest customer I have ever dealt with and frankly I do not enjoy being belittled by any customer. Have a great day!" I am big on customer service and will generally bend over backwards for a customer....but sometimes you just gotta put them in their place. :thumb

Oh and a side note....I get a call on the way back home from a guy who just passed me and asked if I could come to his house and give him an estimate. I was in the area so I went over..Estimate came to $1200(4X the amount of the jerkoff customer above)....he excepted and I scheduled it for next week. Gotta luv days like today...lol

Exactly why I started keeping my appt. book with me all the time. I check it each nite so that I know what I have going on the next day, then double check when I get up. When I'm as busy as I have been this year...there is no WAY I would remember the details.

Time to admit it cuttingedge......yer gettin fergetful....yer not young like ya used to be. :thumb:thumb:thumb

Damn yo! did everyone but tint45 not get the point I was makin... She obviously was just being a BEECH. She would not give a brutha a break even after offering an awesome deal! Yeah I do take some responsibility for not being there exactly on time but called her before I was scheduled to be there. Anyways I vented and that was what I was trying to accomplish...lol

thats why you should have gotten a deposit, she would of had a slightly different attitude

but being late does that to allot of people, remember, the early bird gets the worm

but I do love people who schedule work to be done, and schedule other stuff as well. what if you took longer than you told her, was she going to be late to her doctors appointment, or make you come back and finish the job :thumb:thumb
