Tint Fading

Recommended Posts

My Daugter bought a 2000 Kia Spectra (Sephia, one in the same) used which already had the windows tinted.

The back window is fading clear, but only in the places where the shrinking was done.

Anyone ever see this before, fading clear where the film was shrunk ?

I am guessing the film has been there since 2000, as the paperwork showed the name of the dealer where it was bought, and they are known for tinting everything as soon as it comes off the transport truck.

The rest of the windows still look great.

You can still see the metal in the film and a hint of dye, but for the most part it faded really really bad.
