10 % works like a mofo

Sure does. I give 3-5% For residential and Commercial & 10% for automotive. Most of the time I don't know who the person reffering is so no one gets paid :trustme

I do to some people... which works. I actually had one interior designer, whom I've been doing work for their clients for a couple of years now, call and tell me I don't have to give them a referral fee anymore. It wasn't much per customer, but I figured if they are willing to refer me, why not? She said it's nice enough to have a good company to refer for tinting... :trustme

I tried to give away a free 7in black and white tv for houses with over 500 sq ft of glass once. didn't work :lol6 then it dawned on me...maybe they would have rather had 24 bucks cash in hand :beer

Damn :beer

I don't give referral bonuses but rather offer a discount to the first homeowner in a subdivision and let them know the price I normally charge and the discounted price I gave them because I know they will eventually talk to their neighbors about it and thats my way of paying them back for referrals. It never fails, once I do one house in a subdivision, I end up doing about 3-5 more in the same subdivision within 2 weeks. The discount I do give initially gets paid back 3 fold or more in additional sales. And if you educate the initial homeowner well enough, he/she will be your best salesman and you wont have to do much of a sales pitch on the neighbors. I have found that the woman of the house is the best salesman when she talks to her neighbors. I initially tried to do the referral bonus thing but found that it sounds a little too corny offering 50 bucks or whatever if they go out and find another sale for you and they feel weird asking you for the referral bonus later on.
