Gonna try ceramic

Recommended Posts

I ordered a box of John Insulatir 50. I had to decide between LluLlu ATX and Insulatir. I read that they are made a little different. ATX is ceramet or something. Both are "signal enabling". Both are supposed to be very shrinkable, like LluLlu ATR and John SP. Anybody else here used the Insulatir?

Well, I use a ceramic, made by a company here in AZ, that sells it to Madico, who in turn adds their adhesive, and SR coating to it, so..................................... No I haven't used the Johnsons, but be careful when you shrink it, or you will have a ghosting nightmare :lol2 there is a thread on here somewhere of a car that was done in J 40% ceramic, and it looked like shiat

It shrinks really well, similar to their Executive line, but as TINTMAN said make sure you dry shrink all the windows so you don't get ghosting. With the 50% you shouldn't have a problem though. Just watch the 30% and sometimes the 40%.

Ive been using more and more llumar atx around the shop...I love it, in my opinion. It shrinks great. I use the soap method and havent had any ghosting...did a jag xjr and a 07 range rover in it...I love the stuff...Looks great..

On a side note has anyone noticed a difference in their Llumar ATR...maybe its just me but I swear the past few months its been different...Different tubes different smell when shrinking...and different to the touch...

maybe I am just losing all feeling in my finger tips but I swear its different than it used to be!
