I took out some precut film for a job all cut to size nicely off a FH and had them all rolled onto a spare core.

Once on site I placed the core on a ledge, took off the tape and pulled up the film only to find a whopping big scratch down the centre of the film. :lol

I couldn't figure out how I could have damaged the film so bad prior to it going up on the glass.

I fitted out 5 sheets all with the same problem. :lol2:lol

It wasn't till the 6th one that actually had a hole in it and subsequent long scratch again that I cottoned on to the cause.

The ledge had a small bit of debris in the painted surface that was like a pinhead in sharpness you couldn't see and as the film was pulled up, the debris worked like a gramophone needle etching into the film.

Gee I was p155ed.

Never encountered that before. :lol2:nope
