I Have a Black and decker (regular 30 dollar one) heat gun and it feels like it takes forever to heat shrink. The reason for the question is that alot of videos online I see tinters using different types of heat guns but I dont see them with the black and decker which I have. Any suggestions on a better heat gun. or its just patience that im lacking.

:lol6

If I understand the gist of his question..his cheap heatgun isn't failing him..he just wants more speed out of the shrinking time ..for that, a higher end heatgun or a dual heatgun WILL make all the difference in the world :lol2

I use the Wagner heat guns from Walmart. I use 2 of them at the same time but in different ways. I can shrink about as fast with just 1 but I shrink more evenly with the 2.

With a heat gun and shrinking film you can't be afraid of the heat to the film. If it is not a low temp heat gun then perhaps you are just not getting close enough. Sometimes you have to just about touch the film with a heat gun. Different films will shrink better than others too.

Dual Heatguns rock!!! I just started doing this and it makes it so much easier and faster. I use two Matco gun but I can see they are Makitas from the home depot about $50.00 a piece. Just be careful you dont burn up to much film :lol2
