I have a customer that had his store broken into twice...just smash and grab type of stuff. Would 4 mil armor coat help stop that? FYI I price out the job with 4 mil and with 7 mil... but his pockets only can only afford 4 mil....FYI its in a wood frame....

Wood frame? That's his achillies heel, can't do any attachments. (not that he can afford too but how much does he lose when someone breaks in?) I'd go 8mil and hope for the best. Or... you can overlap either the 4 or 8 and take something like a 2x4 and screw it down to the frames right through the overlapping film. :lol6

I'd suggest the four mil. First, he can afford it and it protects much better than what he has now. Second, the weak point becomes where the glass meets the frame. why make the middle of the window any stronger than it needs since you can't use an effective anchoring system. Finally, you are trying to stop smash and grab, not a terrorist or hurricane.

Sometimes 4 is big enough. :lol6
