3 calls a day for taillight tint

Recommended Posts

This is for real, for the last two months I'am getting more and more calls for this taillight tint sh8t. I have installed clear dap cuts on PPF jobs many times with full installs. Is this tinted light craze regional or is it blowing up all over..... 3 calls today.......I most often refer them to the area body shops if thats all they what.

ditto on that dude, I just send them to the body shops.

but there is a site stickercity

whom sell precut kits for most cars out there, but when you try to order, the guy just wants to sell by the bulk, I dont have time trying to install a 17mil film on a curved tail light right now.

if you know a person who can paint very well have them try a set of your own. Its just reduced black paint, wet sanded then cleared. Shoot offer a couple day turn around and charge $2-5 hundo. I am suggesting out sourcing it but having it done through your shop. I am dead tired..

I am currently looking into doing this. My volvo wagon is about to get them, and these are huge tail lights.

yeah....sub it out to a body shop. Black paint shot on lightly and then cleared is the best way. It will work with colors too. White car, white tail lights. Just have to watch the legal side of tinted tail lights.....

I was in Germany and they required reflective surfaces on the rear of the vehicle. I had "bow-ties" cut out of a dark charcoal reflective vinyl and I put them on the back of my Cavalier. I had tinted my tails with Niteshades. I did them in 1995 first then again in 1998 I redid the tinting on the tail lights. The bow-ties are still on the car to this day and look great. Tail lights like like azz...but that was rattle can tint spray and rattle can clear....pro would be great.

Not sure what the vinyl was as a fellow airman got it for me and made them. It was the vinyl that they used for marking military vehicles!!! hehe

all it is a tinted paint protection film, or " clear bra" as some refer to it, if you guys are passing this up , ur crazy, its so easy to work with, it shrinks like film, and we charge $100-150.00 per set (2), if you are not doing protection films, you need to be, high end dealers love this stuff, we get 750- 1100 per kit, they mark it up ,, and its not terrible to install!! check it out,, ( also comes in blue and yellow)

It does not shrink like film.

It "compresses".

I don't want the liability of tinting tails. I just tell them to buy niteshades spray paint.
