:lol2 ok .... fast question .... The customers' tint job looks perfect leaving the shop. I always squeeqie well, heat up glass on outside with heagun after last Blue Max press down pass (except laminated---no/low heat) windows, use water filtered water with water filter on my Cornielius Tank Set up and clean nozzle. Still, every once in a while, a customer comes back and there are a couple white spots on the side windows???? :lol2 . The white spots are not from contamination were not visible when the left. :dunno I use my fingernail and they press down fine and make vitiually invisible ....... What else could be causing this? :lol2 Thanks!! :beer

I'm going to make an educated guess here and say that it's airborne contamination because it sounds like your doing everything well on the solution mixture end of things ..just because it's not noticeable when the job leaves the shop means nothing..the contamination sounds minor from the sounds of it if you can get rid of it with your fingernail..it's the kind of contamination that IS there but you can't see I because it's hidden in the moisture ..only to be discovered when the drying time is over. I would bet that there are more cars out there that you've done ,but only the fussier customers come back. If this is the case, you need to inspect the jobs with a greater light course , make sure there is no air current in your shop and perhaps a more strategic cleaning procedure . :lol2

I always like to keep the car for an hour or so after it's done and inspect it closely out in the sun and press out any contamination before the custy gets there. If you use a blue max or something similar to get as much water out as possible, you will be able to find any contamination easily and rectify it before the customer even shows up.

It just takes a few minutes to go over the car outside after it has set up a bit.

:dunno if time allows im like TD and set it to "bake" in the sun for a while when im done and then go check on it. kinda silly question but is the film just not dry yet? I see "white spots" after the tint starts to dry but of course it all goes away...its just not dry....could that be your situation?

As a rule I always let the vehicle 'cook' in the sun for at least an hour before I'll let it go..... This allows me to go over my work and press out any potential problems before the custy picks up the vehicle...... :dunno

how big are the spots?

:mad Uuuuhhhhh ...... Well, I'm not exactley sure what that measurement would be on the circles. If a comparison is helpful, it's about the size of a pin needle head the plastic part or about 1/2 the size of a hole punch hole. It's always circular and almost similar in size usually, ... Neat mystery, eh! ?? lol My wifey is mezmorized too .....not really ..... but, it doesn't matter, she's not that helpful with this kinda stuff anyways .... She has other talents! Like ............ paperwork, dealing with me, and raising the family! :mad And I worry about small white spots! lol - lol

:krazy For the other replies (Thank you by the way) I have no pics, I didn't want to alarm or panic my customers and just fixed the problem, calmly . sorta Mcguiver style ... ya know? Then said to my customer "h'mmmm isn't that strange, but .... lookie' there ... No Prob" Fixed .... So, If it happens again - I give up and I'm getting a job at the DMV... . :mad ..... Nooooooooooo - I have a different plan. I'll have someone distract and fascinate them with my magazine collection and bust out the camera phone, I guess .... :hmmm
