summa d60 problems

My summa d60 is skipping in one place per job. When I weed it , I must find it and manually cut it ckean or it will mess it up when I weed it. it does it on the test run so its not the software. anyone had same problems. Summa says.....you know the story....send it in for a cost, we will look at it for a cost, then we will fix it for a cost and shipp it back for another cost=more than it cost to buy a new plotter. Please help

make sure the design is not to close to the edge of the cut or the bounding box in the design program, and then make sure that the design does not have any open paths.

Thanks but I am sure those aren't the problem. I have had this macine for 6 years. Have no problems efore this. I have begun to learn to live with it, but oh the days of easy weeding!

It sdoes this on every job sent to the cutter. I either cut two of any small decal or catch where it is before I weed. Any other suggestions?

what is your design program, and also your production program?

I use Smart Designs/ Corel Draw. CoCut is my cutting software.

you might try reinstalling the program, or making sure you have all the updates, I used to use corel and sign tools3 after a couple of months it started missing cut lines and all I had to do was run the updates for the programs and it cut fine, the other thing you might try is a new data cable, sometimes if you bend it or roll chairs over it too much it can break,
