I just turned in my application for the next Wichita Falls Police Academy June 23rd.

I should find out in the next few weeks if I am accepted or not.

I have a spotless record so I don`t see anything that could hold me back from being accepted.

If I am accepted I have to take a civil service test and a physical agility test and a test called "b-pad video assessment".

If I succeed through those I have to take a polygraph test then interview with the police chief and then start the academy.

I am hoping this works out because this is something I REALLY want to do.

I can already pass all the physical agility challenges.

My best friend is the Police chief in a neighboring town and seeing how he has advanced in his 13 year career has got my azz into gear. I need to get on with my life and get a job that can make a difference.

Anyways that "training for the agility test" coupled with coaching my sons baseball team is why I haven`t been here as much lately.

wow thats wierd. I've always known former tinters become cops for some reason. and what is wierd is that I been wanting to become sheriff here locally. I dont know. guess its a thing where tinters become cops or fire department. but im way out of shape to even consider it right now

good luck mdog! ive had a few friends go through this process...and my best advice....dont lie on the polygraph...even if its about stealin a chocolate bar....or seein yer parents through the keyhole....(dont even get me started )
