Hello owners,

When you do dealer work, how much of a discount do you give to auto dealers? We have a 30+ dealership network with our existing product lines and have dealer pricing all worked out but I'm not sure on where to price them for tinting? any suggestions? Our tinting is going to be starting at 150.00 and up so any dealer pricing examples would be appreciated. :nope

Thanks!

We dont discuss pricing on this board because of the differnece in regions, cost of film and so on.

Alot of these guys dont like dealer work either. I have 5 dealers that supply me with

80-90 percent of my work. I do not give them a discount. They pay the same price as walk in customers.

good luck :nope

Line-X liners, rust proofing, paint sealant, interior protection, undercoating, detailing, accessories. etc. No electronics of any sort except network car and never plan too. The tinting just fits in perfect with everything else we offer.

dealers are about 80% of my business and I generally give them a 10-15% discount....unless they give me a bulk order of 10 or more of the same car at a time...then they get a bit more (like possibly 20%) because I can have the windows all cut, shrunk and ready ahead of time. :nope

Thanks for the info, I understand the not discussing prices, every area varies widely. I got the info I was after, I was just curious on if u guys did or did not offer dealer discounts. It looks like it's just like our current business in that regards, some shops do and some don't! Thanks!

Dont get me wrong though...the new car dealer passes the price on to the paying customer usually doubling the price or more. If it is one of the salesman personal car they are buying for them or there spouse, I cut the price deeply and have been known to do a few for free. I have a certain saleman that sends me between 12-15k a year in sales so I fell like thats the least I can do. :twocents

If you establish good working relationships with those dealers and dont mind waiting on your money go for it :dunno
