Cuttingedge
Got a call at 7am yesterday morning(I am barely awake) a woman wanting a quote for her store front...she thinks its 2000 sf or so...then she tells me the rough measurements of all the glass and then I explain to her that it sounds more like 200 sf, but without actually coming there and doing exact measurements, I cant give her an exact estimate. She say okay and we set up an appontment for the next morning around 9am since I had a scheduled install all day today. Well I wake up at 7am to the sound of my business phone ringing and its her saying she is sorry but her neighbor 10 houses down from her is a tinter (saw his van out front) so she asked him about it yesterday afternoon and he said he would do it for about $---.00 in silver 20 --well below the national average for this type of install. She said he already had in stock and had a "cancellation" this am and was going to do it this morning at 7:30 am. I asked her if she saw a sample or realized that silver 20 is very reflective. She said no and she said she didnt realize there were different shades of tint. I then said well I hope you get the results you want and I hope he does a good job for you and make sure you get a warranty and if anything goes wrong please dont hesitate to call me back. Have a nice day. Obviously she was more concerned with the bottom line and not interested in anything else. It just bugs the hell out of me when they don't even give the chance to pitch them in person.....Hopefully she gets what she paid for. --BTW I drove by there later this afternoon and it really stuck out like a sore thumb since it was located in a very high end retail plaza where no other storefront had such a mirror appearance. They sell high end massage beds and the one word name above the storefront is the only thing that can be seen. Probably not going to be good for business if no one can see in. Guest CCC-Tinting
- Man, I swear that is soooooo typical - They don't understand the quality aspect of it, treat it like a commodity, screw themselves and, screw you out of their business in two seconds flat! Sorry to hear about this job - Stick to your guns ... you'll win in the long run!

Guest tintman72
What is worse is that they will never admit their mistake. No matter how stupid they were in their choice. Makes me want to go in ther business and just laugh at them with customers in the store. But we can't do that, right?
Tinitman
Don't be surprised if the film is removed within 90 days. High end retail centers do not allow reflective films on the store fronts.
