How is this possible??

Always wondered if I need a new procedure or if I'm just too slow.

I've been tinting a long time and that's all I do ..I know the quality of my work is really good, or I wouldn't have so many repeat customers over the yrs. I feel that every step in my procedure is important, or I wouldn't include it,but on the average it takes me 2.5 hrs for a 4dr car (ei 2002 grand prix 4dr taking out back seat) So how is it that others can do the same job in 1-1.5 hrs ? I'm not doubting thier word on this..nor am I doubting the quality ..I say my hats off to them..I'm just wondering how ..I work fast (I think) Do I have a different level of expectation in quality ? am I doing extra unnessisary steps?, is there anything wrong with 2.5 hrs for a pro??

thanx

Tint Wizard, I am the same way as you. It usually takes me about 2-3 hours per 4 door car, there is nothing wrong about taking your time and doing the job right! But right now it might be taking me even alittle bit longer because I am training somebody. No Bit Deal. talk to ya later

you just have to watch a person that it fast and good to understand it.

everything I do is calculated also, every car is a routine over and over. this job is so boring to me I challenge myself, thats how I have got fast at tinting. here I dont HAVE to tint fast becasue they really dont make me, BUT I have always had the notion I was going to do this for MYSELF one of these days and I wanted to be at the top of my game if I decided to do so.

who knows..I might be the best tinter in the whole world :thumb :booga because the majority of people here dont believe it :thumb that a person (not necessarily me) can tint fast and good, damn good. I am starting to believe that there is a small percentage of people that can actually do this.

it helps to be a high energy person, I invite anybody from td.com to come visit me one of these days, mabey I could help somebody with the things I do.

I hope I dont come off cocky, because I am not a cocky person at all. challenging myself was the only thing that kept me going since 94. when I found this site it was a breath of fresh air.the dryer sheet method easily knocked off 10 minutes of work on a back glass for me.

TW,

You could aleays do what some have said about tinters; I.e, whatever they say dicide by 2 and you have the truth, that would put you in the 1-1 1/2 hour range. :thumb:?

Well maybe not... the rest of us in here would do the same, it'll put you back in your place :thumb:?:? (no pun intended).

MDOG, if I ever get a trip into the country of Texas, I'll be sure to frop in to see you (in action). :thumb

That is what I love about auto tinting... the challenge. It is different from car to car, day to day and year to year always something new and changing.
