Ford Slider rear windows

:thumb Does anyone have a trick for dealing with the hard plastic part of the frame on the outside edges of these windows? I hope everybody knows what I mean. These are hard to get a good tight edge on and clean at the same time.

Thanks!

Normally I hack the plastic a little bit and hit the glass a couple times. By hitting the glass is seperates the plastic from the glass just enough to tuck the film. I cut the top and sides on the outside, then move to inside for bottom and precision cuts. No gaps, clean as hell, and makes me happy. :thumb Although...Im already pissed for having to do a FORD SLIDER!!!!!! :DD

WOW the plastic comes off??!!!??! SWEEETTT! I've trying to tint the damn things by cutting on the outside, than trimming and trimming some more on the out side.. But if the plastic comes out... what a time savor I'll have to try that. THANKS! :DD:thumb

yeah..what is do ..is take it out..and take the whole thing apart....the metal part too....just take the two screws of and take the glass out... :thumb it comes out cleaner....for me..even the older styles I take apart..dont have to worry about all the dirt in the seals... :thumb

I also didn'tknow that this came out..does it go back in OK without tearing or putting too much pressure on the film ?

I just did one the other day wishin' that I would never have to do another one ever again, and now I'm looking forward to the next one to check this stuff out.

I must say, I'm very dissapointed in myself for not figuring this stuff out before on my own because I usually like taking stuff apart. :thumb
