For those that have used it

Do you Like it?

How is it to shrink?

Is it a up sale for you?

Is it worth having for Auto's?

Resd. Are they willing to pay extra?

Whats the most used?

The sales rep came by the other day. Sent me a couple samples Very clear. Seems to be high on Heat rejection. Kinda like the non Refective look to for Resd.

Just seeing what some that use it Like about it...

Huper accounts for over half of my residential installs and 20% of my commercial installs.

Yes they will pay extra for that value.

I have been using Huper Optik ceramic films for a little over 2 months now and I think it is one of the best films out on the market for CLARITY and Heat Rejection. I only stock the Ceramic 30%, 40% and 50%. The film is alot thicker than your ordinary hybrid films. It takes about 2-3 times longer to heat shrink and if very expensive. Cost is around 3 times more than hybrid films. I love everything about this film except for it leaves ghosting marks/heat marks. When you use a heat gun to form fit the film, I guess it changes the composition of the film or something and you can see ghosting marks under direct sunlight at a certain angle when you look at the back glass. Most of my customer's tell me it isn't as bad as I make it out to sound but I have to let them know that the film will most likely ghost.

The film is definitely an upsell and the average price to tint a 2 door car would be around $425-$445 range, 4 door car will be around $475-$495 and SUV will be around $525-$545. It all depends upon your area but here in the Bay Area, cost of living is still astronomical and that is why my prices have been steadily moving upwards the past several years.

If you carry this film, you'd better be focused on Quality instead of Quantity as most of the customers who request this film are very meticulous. I for one would rather tint 2 cars a day than to tint 5 cars.

Try the some samples your rep sent you. I have a feeling you will not like installing it but it does get easier with more practice. Good luck. :thumb

Me 2, for the simple reason that if the stuff ever heads South, it makes for fewer redo's.

This is true for any product.

Hats off to anyone who can get their price and stick with it. :thumb

I have Huper on the windshield of my Suburbon and MAN it was a pain to shrink. The heat rejection is outstanding for such a light film on the other hand I have to disagree with the clarity issue. I have installed alot of Solis/V-Cool and the clarity on that film is worse than the orange peeling that has been going on with SG. I hear that SG is going to be coming out with a similar film called Highlight to compete with Solis and Huper and am interested to see some.

Litespeeds comments on prices and upsell is very encouraging and I have been giving the ceramic film alot of thought. Do they sell a 70+ % VLT film?

They only have 60%, 50%, 40% and 30%. They actually make a 20% but it is not really sold in the US but you can order it if you'd like. Very thick film and extremely hard to shrink.

Protint,

There is a good chance that the sample that you got to try out is not the same quality as what they will sell you when you order a roll. Maybe you got their 2nd hand tint that does not meet their standards. In any case, I find that the Ceramic film is clearer than any other film I have tried. The reflection on the window after it is installed is almost like the glass itself. That is my opinion of the film.

Huper Optik is the b*mb. This is the kind of film I have waited for for 17 years. Lighter shades, superior heat rejection, and optical clearity. I have used it for over a year now and still no regrets.
