The owners of the business and the tinters always have a hard time facing reality, but I can give you an idea in So.Cal...Easy flatglass with lots of sq.ft no obstacles .40-.60 sq. ft. Removal....50 cents if ground level and usually with reinstallation..There is usually a minimum for easy small jobs..If high windows or obstacles .75-$1 per sq. ft.A good tinter can usually make 2-300 a day in 8 hrs...Whats wrong with that...Most tinters think they should make more than Brain Surgeons and sometimes they do..not trying to put anyone down but as an owner I know the costs of getting the jobs and what it can take to do them with real expenses involved..

I charge from 5.50 a sq ft up to $15.00 a sq ft, of corse depending on the type film used. As far as paying an employee to help, $10 an hour.

if your looking for east coast 3#'s ill give ya what I got. when I worked directly for a company I got paid by the hour. and of course . you have to figure out how fast and good. the guy or girl is. before you can figure that out. the best way for you would probably be sq ft. I would get 1.00 a square foot. for simple nothing hard about it jobs. if I was in the air id get another 25 cents. and for removal id get 50 cents. but this was in philly and new jersey. and the company was getting 6.50 a square foot. to start
