customer comes in, wants to know how much to retint her 15 year old corolla. the sides look pretty good, the driver door has started to peel, and the back glass is totally distorted, can't even see through it. I tell her the price, what kind of film, blah, blah. she asks if this new film will interfere with her defroster. I told her that she may lose her defroster, but I can't guarntee anything because I won't know until I start removing it if it will mess it up or if I can save it.

NOW GET THIS. she says "oh well I can't have that, we'll just have to leave the back glass alone then."

:woowoo :lol6 SHE CAN'T EVEN SEE THROUGH IT!!! but she wants that damn defroster workin? I just laughed. can't argue with that logic.

TTS, I have never damaged a defroster by removing old film. Am I just lucky? :woowoo

you've obviously never removed any of that crap llumar stuff from the early 80's that has been baked on in the texas heat for 20 years.

yep some end up being scraped no other way around it!

now really if she can't see through it why does she need it to be defrosted! thats real logic! not to mention how unsafe it is to drive with out seeing out the back in a car!

lets awnser the real question here, why is she driving a 20 year old corolla and wanting to fix it up, she's already cheap for driving that car and to put another 300.00 into the tint is way out of the question when it becomes clear that she wants to be able to defrost a window that she might as well paint black anyways cause she can't see out of it! I bet she spent 2500.00 for the dvd player and screens in the headrest, huh!
