If you were in the situation to build your own shop just for film and a few other things like remote starts and bug deflectors, ppf and the likes. How or what would be some of the unique things you would have in your shop. Any special attention to hoses or cords. My shop is going to be overboard when I'm done..I'm building it for a lazy man from the way things are laid out. WHATS YOUR IDEAL SHOP?

A few people have posted pics of their shops, I liked Mdog's set up the best. It's no wonder Mdog is so fast, his shop is set up really well.

I like a nice cozy shop, unlike what I have now its WAY to big. :passout my perfect shop would be a 2 bay metal building with a waiting room and bathroom, closet for storage, I would put up white shower board all on the inslde to make a nice white flush surface all around, I would have my glass mounted on the walls, I would have AIR in the shop also. electric cords on retractable reels. I would want a shop small enought to air condition and just big enough to work in basicly. I would have a dropped ceiling like you see in most businesses with the lighting mounted in the ceiling under the clear panels.

of course I would have to wire in a sound system in the shop to listen to some tunes with some bump to them :passout

:passout Of your OWN choosing.... :passout and hidden so NOBODY could ever screw with it.

I like that white shower board idea MDog. Mines cinderblock and painted high gloss white. Needs a recoat now.

I think that drain in the middle of the floor would be nice so you could hose it out when necessary with a built in pressure washer.

Oh and for those of us who work alone...how about a camera aimed at the back glass with a small TV on a roll around stand with a remote so you could see the outside of the back glass while inside the car....zoom in where necessary. Like the fancier RV's have for backing up.

Hey what about a mister to keep the dust down. I saw those at the hardware store in lawn and garden. Little nozzels on a hose. Just before every car you could push a button and spray a fine mist from the ceiling down all around. Wonder if you'd get mold ? :passout
