I got a roll of 40" suntek HP 5%. I was (sshhh..) impressed. very optically clear, pretty easy to shrink, and good color. wasn't crazy about the release liner, but for the price, it seemed like some pretty good film. any body else have any opinions?

It is NOT color stable. I have seen it change color in 6 months. Charcole to purple.

I use it as the low end....No complaints, and it doesn't smell...:rollin It's holding up on my sunwall, been up for about a year and 1/2, still looks good. It's an easy company to deal with also. :rollin

They switched to cp for raw materials. It sure hasn't been close to turning purple or anything else as it faces south at the shop for the last year and half. They used to get the raw material from ati out of Atlanta, that's probably the stuff you used.

Second that OT.

Haven't seen any color change problems here either.

Been using it for about a year and it has been very impressive to say the least. One of the easiest film that you will ever get to heat shrink. The adhesive is very good and tacks down quickly. Overall I love this film and would recommend it to anybody. Now we just have to wait and see how it holds up. Only time will tell. Let's all keep our fingers crossed. :rollin

Out of all the films out on the market, I chose to carry their full line at my new shop in Fremont. All the HP Charcoals and most of the Infinity OP full metals.

sorry, after I read that, I went and checked and it didn't smell. but I was for sure it did. so I checked the roll of Global that I got a couple days earlier and smelled it, and it was the one that smelled. smelled EXACTLY like the 10 year old panther I've removed before.

so this is not a bad line to carry? I'm not big on carrying a "lower" line. but I lose some customers that I could keep if I carried a a film that was $10-$15 cheaper in price.

You'd be surprised at the lengths some will go for $10-$15 cheaper.

Why lose 'em? Shorten the warranty and give them a TTS exclusive 1-yr warranty and be done with 'em.

I once used some sample film from an unamed company for a customer who said he could get his car tinted for less than $x.xx amount. I told him I could do it too but it would only come with a 30 day warranty.

The damn fool drove 45-minutes just to get to me thinking he got one over on me. I swear I could see it turning purple as he rode off in the distance.

What an :asshat customer he was.
