Rear window

Hey guys im a rookie..

Just starting in the field would like to know what I should do and how and whats the best way to tint?

The car is 1996 VW Passat..

I did all the windows except the rear and the windshield.. I im confized how do I cut, measure ect the film for the back window?

ever think of a tape measure

no really tho, just take a tape measure across the width of the window....and a few extra inches. Then cut a piece from a 40" roll.....trim, shrink, final trim, and 'wallahh' your a tinter!

You forgot to mention removing the liner prior to installing on the back window ?????

I did read the main page.. the only way I see doing it is to cut 3 lines but how da heck can I cut them so it would match the wire thingie on the window?

use a 36" roll, or if you wanna piece it cut it along the defrost lines I know that car has a defroster on it

but then again what do I know

you could do like the guy who called me on Wednesday who tried to do it him self on a 92 mustang with the hatch and he said he tried 3 times to get the rear window but kept burning the film, so he called a pro and I went over to finish the job, was smooth except for crawling in the back compartment with the film but job done and a happy customer.

he ordered film on ebay and I was looking at it after the job and heard something as the film box was being lifted from one end to the other so I pulled the film out to see what kind it was and all his tools were in the tube, he was shacking his head cause he did'nt think they sent his tools he could'nt find them!
