Hi, I emailed GILA about putting their film on the outside of the glass(much easier than inside), their answer was, it will stand up to weather, etc, but not to tree limbs and pressure washers. I have not done it yet, but, plan on doing so in the near future. marly

I had the "outside" of my truck windshield "tinted" if that?s what you want to call it, with "Titanium" it has cut down the heat in the truck and offered a great deal of privacy. It's completely legal and guaranteed as long as I own the truck against scratches, cracking and peeling. When I get my 5er, the same will be done with it. One word of caution, a lot of the "sticking agents" on the Wally World and K mart brands are sugar based and create a bacteria, this is why some of the tint jobs have bubbles and look like crap. Also some of these have a thin layer that needs to be peeled off before, the tint is placed on the window. The best advice on this subject that I can offer, is to take it someplace that has "been" in operation for sometime and has a good reputation for good work and guarantee. I use "Auto Audio" in my area. In the "long run" it's worth every penney!
