Do you just tint or offer more?

Just wanted to know. With everyone complaining about how slow it is these days I have to ask.

Tint requests have dwindled down for me but I can't keep up with the Paint Protection Film (clear bra) and commercial fleet decal jobs.

Both the clear bras and the decals require two things most all of us already have: patience and skill with a squeegie.

Seriously thinking about getting into paint protection. Like everything else, the more you do it, the better you get. :shock Once you figure out the tricks of the trade, it will be alot easier. I think I will go to SEMA this year to see all the new products coming out from the window film dealers.

At my shop, we do tinting, car alarms and stereos, and high performance retail and installation. You'd be surprised how many people come in for a tint job, flip through some catalogs and end up with a set of rims or an alarm on top of it. It helps to be knowledgable in those aspects, because a lot of the people (at least in my area) who have their cars tinted are young, and a lot of these kids are driving import cars so they want the rims, the intakes, the exhaust, the big stereo, etc., and it's nice that I don't have to send them anywhere else because we do it all in-house. The only thing that we farm out is detailing and custom upholstery, and we have a deal working with the two shops we use for that.

tinting, graphics (custom and premade), and a LITTLE paint protection. Would like to eventually get into the hi performance stuff like Smoked does. Always thought that would be a good add on for a gearhead like me.

I do tint, vinyl graphics (custom & pre-made), PPF, auto glass, headliners, and now I'm an over-wraps dealer.

I'm completely full through next tuesday. not one appointment is for tint. tint has kinda taken a backseat around here since september.

Been kinda slow. PPF is still growing in popularity around here. Actually had a customer come for PPF today and decided to get tint as well. That was a switch.

I've been planning on getting into vinyl for years, but always wanting to stay away from the banks (loan). But if things keep going this way, I think I should see what the banks are offering :lol6
