Looks like auto tinting is going to be fairly nonexistent soon... :thumb Aren't the film manufacturers a little concerned metint?

The Vistagrey's graph shows a peculiar dip in a certain part that didn't impress someone more knowledgeable than I.

There will be a need for window film for some time to come, so I am told, however since I see a few makers straying from their primary purpose (film) to other products... one such as you or I can only speculate as to what the big guys really see and know.

Believe metint4u2...I loath politics, too! They're all crooked when power in knowledge is involved.

I'll ask the PPG guys tomorrow to see if they know about it, or have it. I see it like the factory privacy glass. Everyone thought it would be an expensive option, not the case, it's pretty much standard equipment now. Hate to be a pessimist, but it seems to me auto tinting is on thin ice. :thumb

Unless they get the Department of Transportation to change their strict standards, only vans, trucks and suv's come with factory privacy glass. Let's all hope this won't change in the near future. When I got into tinting about 15+ years ago, my brother told me that I would be out of a job when all the cars come out with factory privacy glass. I laughed at him and told him to look around at all the cars out on the road, all the homes and commercial buildings. If it has glass, I CAN TINT IT! Now look who's laughing all the way to the bank. :dunno
