I just signed up to be in the yellow pages,will it help my business grow.and get more known?

you HAVE to be in the yellow pages. thats a must.

ditto. You have to be in the yellow pages, if nothing else. No fancy 1/4 page ad, no multi-colored layouts, just the listing will do. If you have the money, then go for something a little more elaborate, but it's not necessary.

Yes it is a must to be in there. Everyone who can read uses the yellow pages.

However, with the costs of them getting so high, I went to half the size I was doing before.

To keep the word out, you need to do other means of advertising as well.

ageed, yellow pages are a must. prices are bloody rediculous but a necassary expense IMO

ABSOLUTELY! And if your really lucky, you'll have 2 books covering the same area and you'll have to advertise in both. I currently advertise in 3 books, I can tell if I drop down in add size, as soon as the book comes out, I loose business. It is my best advertising money spent, more return than any other form of advertising.

Well im not a business so I have: my website, flyers and 3x5 cards I put in driver side window moldings.

Works quite well actually. One customer said "Well I wasn't going to really get my windows tinted, but since you took the initiative to tell me about its benifits. I think I will have you do the work on my car!"

I'm in 2 phone book yellow pages in my town & in 1 the next town over, just don't get to carried away w/ the size of ad, it's very expensive.
