Waves in tint

Hi All,

I just had the dealer tint the windows in my subaru forester and most of them have wavy lines in them diagonally and the rear window looks like it has a water dropplet running down it all the time. I have been reading through the forum here and it appears that this may happen near the end of the tint roll? I have asked the dealer about it and they have asled me to take it in for them to look at. Some windows are fine and some are wavy, I would just like to know what is normal, will these lines come out?

Cheers

No, they are clear but looking in the side mirror you can see lines/wavys spaces 10mm or so appart. Its pretty noticable. SOme of the Windows are fine others like the rear window are easy to spot.

greg, it may just be water between the film and glass that needs some time to dry, give it a week or so and see if they're still there :thumb

If it's been that long then I'd say it might be the end of the roll.

He'll have distortion lines in the base film for sure.

Try this Greg......when you glance at the problem area, move you head and line of vision at the point slightly from side to side and check the view. If your object of view.....say a lightpole moves unnaturally like it's bent, then it will be a material distortion fault.

Whatever it is, it shouldn't be there anyway. Whose film is it? You must have some paperwork with it.
