I was wondering if anyone was using this film? I was looking around on and found that they seemed to be pretty popular. I found out that Gila - the autozone tint is Llumar - or vice versa. I was wanting to know if there was an online dealer that sold bigger than 10 sg. ft. rolls? If no one is using Llumar and is not willing to share what they are using, I will probably end up trying some of the Concord window film. Anyone have an oppinion on this stuff? for the 30"

x25' rolls they want $35. I was going to get a few flavors of this to see how well I liked working with it. thanks

Is anyone using LLumar film? Well, LLumar is the largest producer of window film in the world. So to answer your question, yes some people do use LLumar film. It is not cheep, but you get what you pay for. LLumar sells other film companies raw product to make their film with. Bit quess what, LLumar wont sell their best raw material. they keep it for their self. Maybe that is why their film is the best that I have ever used. Makes ya wonder doesnt it??????????

Just got my samples of ATR Charcoal Llumastar this afternoon. Will have to try and see how it looks and performs. I actually put small samples of each of my different films on a clear plexiglass so I can measure the actual light transmittance and BTU reading from each film on the exact same surface and angle. I was kind of surprised at my results but the Huper Optik Ceramic films reduced the most amount of heat given the same comparable shade. The highest heat rejecting film that I have is the Suntek Infinity OP 10%. Anyway, now I have to test the Llumar against my current inventory to see if I want to carry it or not.

My inventory is Suntek HP Charcoal as my entry level film with a lifetime warranty. It covers almost everything except for color change and fading.

Next is the Suntek Infinity OP as an upgrade which covers everything including fading and color change.

Huper Optik Ceramic film is my high end film which is definitely more expensive for those who want something light and block out a very high amount of heat.

V-Kool is also a specialty film which I use for front doors as it is not legal in California but is so light and almost invisible that I find it hard for anyone to even notice this film on the front doors. Even more expensive than Huper and offers the highest heat rejection within its shade.

Now if I carry the Llumastar, I can sell it as an upgrade over the HP Charcoal and give it a lifetime warranty including color change.
