Never had a problem with back windows. Use the wet shrink method... Same film for 12 years.. Recently though aftrer the tint is on been having these tiny fingers come up that just won't go down.. So we have to get the customer to come back in two days later then they go down. Why the fingers.. Never changed methods of doing anything and it's always worse on Sungard performx Steel .. Someone have any ideas.. :dunno

I Have had problems like that whenever I am injured or sick because I don't stretch it a well when I apply it on the inside. Other than that, good luck.

I have been using Llumar atr and have no problems either wet or dry shrink , back

when I used the at series I had all the little ripples. I used Solargard hybrid films as

well and liked its consistency also .

If you've been at it 12 yrs then you can throw all the obvious reasons for fingers out the door.

I'd suggest calling the manufacturer or supplier and tell them you have a bad roll of film I.e. adhesive is not aggressive enough.

That or lighten up your soap solution to water ratio but that will only make positioning harder.

I've found that regardless of the brand I use no two rolls of film are ever exactly the same in color or adhesive property.

Case in point:

I had a roll of 20% film from an un-named company that kept peeling up from the edges.

I had several comebacks and they were all related to the same roll number. Once I got rid of the culprit roll I didn't seem to have that problem again. You be the judge.

Squeegee is right, :dunno I recently had a Dodge Avenger Give me fits one day and I felt that it had to be the film so I had my Distributor send another roll out with different run numbers and redid the back window with very little problem. I use PerformX Slate myself.

If your using sungard performance, I would suggest using their "ultra bond" solution for hanging the film (you may already). I've found that it helps the stick it better with less puckers.

ugggghhh, ultra bond..... makes your hands look like a cracked , dryed out piece

of leather :thumb the stuff works, but both my installers b***h about extremely dry hands afterwards.

if the base is at a dot matrix then throw a light pass from a glue stick and the sh!t should hold down :thumb probally a defective roll though.

I recently had problems with solar gards hp smoke. I couldn't get the 20% to shrink. I thought it was the heat gun so I used another one, same problem. I had to get the tint so hot I practilly melted it. Very unusuall, same problem maybe?
