go to get my hair cut today. same place I've always gone for 8 years. the guy that owns the place has never brought me anything, but, he hasn't taken anything to anywhere else either, he's just never tinted any of his cars. the guy bought a new dodge 4 door, and there it sits with tint on it. he asks me if I saw his new truck, I said "yeah, I also saw the tint on it." he said, "yeah, they did it for me at the dealership". :dunno WTF? I said "has anyone at that dealership been coming to you for 8 years?" I could tell by the look on his face, that it has just occured to him. I just turned around and walked out on my appointment.

TTS,

You can look at it this way. Either he paid way too much at the dealership or it was thrown in with his deal. Can't blame him if the dealership gave it to him as an incentive to purchase the car.

I can see your point if he actually asked the dealer who they use to tint and they told him that they could do it and sub the work out. If that is the case, then you walking out on your appoinment is definitely justifiable.

Maybe the guy just didn't realize :thumb

But on the other hand if my barber got his windows tinted by someone else, I think I'd be pissed as hell. My barber is just across the parking lot, and I've done his last two vans. (at full price :thumb )

Had a guy complain to me about the "crappy" tint jobs he's been getting around town over the years. Quote him on an 03 merc...takes it to one of the shops he was complaining about to have it done and then asks me if I want to sponsor a car show he's involved in. :thumb By the way for those who don't know me...name's Sal, but GT is fine. Don't get on as much as I'd like but plan to be around more often as things slow down. :thumb

:lol6 My feelings would be hurt for sure. But I wouldn't have given him the satisfaction of knowing. Looks like he'd have been embarrassed to show you if he'd had someone else tint it knowing you do it instead of pointing it out. :lol Thoughtless of him at the very least....hopefully, and not meanness. :lol6
