This seemed to come more with experience with me, but if you shrink the top of the glass as evenly and skillfully as possible, then use steel wool thouroughly on the matrix, it goes down even. It will dry evenly to a very slight silver ( not the upside down mountain range bubble looking silver ). I am talking the same look as glueing without the messy hassle. I can tell a few minutes after install what it will look like. Usually the top corners will lift off first if I over shrunk them. I know all this probably doesn't help much now but perhaps with time you will get a feel for how to shrink that evenly up top. The only extra time I like to spend on these is baking outside in the sun, or heating outside of glass with the gun, then hard carding the hell out of it.

My guess is that it would allow water and moisture to be hard-carded out easier. But on the flip side, seems the tint adhesive wouldnt wanna stick. Rain-X is some greezy stuff.

So do-tell Mr. Stripe! :twocents

add some alcohol to your solution.

when doing back window, apply the film and squeege out the whole window leaving the dot matrix unsqueeged. once your done with the whole window, lift and spray some soapy water or just pure alcohol with water, and BAM!!!!!!!! natural looking. doesnt always work, but its a shot.

if not then start bring out the vinyl.

I usually vinyl the top, but I h@te to have to do that on high end cars. Most of the time the customers that got expensive rides like to go with lighter shades, and the vinyl would be too much of a contrast.
