Hello everyone, I came across the site while looking for some tint and figured I would check it out.

I am new to the tint scene, and I dont plan on making any money off this field, I am actually just a car enthusiest and I like to do everything myself that I can.

I was looking to purchase a llumar pre cut kit for my camaro, I know I have heard it a dozen times, camaro's rear windows are the hardest to tint. However, I only plan on tinting the passenger and driver's side windows. I watched a pro do my truck windows before and he likes the 3m brand tint. However, it looks like Llumar is the only decent quality tint that I am able to get my hands on that is precut.

I watched him about 3 years ago and he sprayed both sides of the window with water/soap and cleaned them with a razor and then he went ahead and sprayed them again with soap and water and put the tint on the outside of the window, pulled the adhesive off and then sprayed the tint adhesive area. He then pulled the tint off the window and put the adhesive side towards the window on the inside and moved the tint to where he liked it, left a little gap up top and then removed the water with a credit card from the tint like a squeegy.

I was curious if this same method would work just fine for the camaro windows.

Thanks.

Kendall H.

It's a 94 camaro.

here is some info on it.

What model Camaro is it?

Really, no matter what model it is, you will need to shrink those side

windows.

All F body side glasses are curved, except maybe 1st gen. ( '67 thru '69).

Good luck.

I would still recommend taking it to a pro. :beer

4th gen..... SWEET, I just sold 97 WS6 T/A.

I scanned your site, I see you have a SPEC Stage 4.

I had a Stage 3 in mine, I felt the #4 was a little overkill for my car.

Had a shuttering form the clutch for a while, how bout yours?

It seemed to go away after it got some miles on it.

My SPEC contact said it was normal during break in....BUT DAM,

it shook like crazy for about 1000 mi.

Never slipped though.

P.S. you will definately need to shrink those winders.

most of the time you'll come out cheaper by the time you buy the film . tools needed to tint them inc heat gun and then have flaws in it and pay a pro to redo them elimate all the steps and have a pro do it first

Yah, actually I called my buddy up and he said he would do it for $70 bucks and use the 3m stuff. So I will just go that route. I know he can have it done in 30mins.

I have never had any chatter with mine. I went with the kevlar. The ceramic will chatter a lot because the material is so harsh. I had an ACT2600 in my old dsm, and this is much better than that one, plus its hydraulic so my left foot isnt hurting by the end of the day.

I have ran my buddy on the street from a roll, that runs 11.6 in the quarter and we are neck and neck. I cant wait to get it to the track this summer.

11.6 would've spanked my a$$ for sure, by about 1.5 sec.

I miss having something worthy of taking to the track.

Yah, the kicker is he is supercharged.  I am just running a lil ol 350 with a head/cam combo.  The power of N/A! ;)

Power adders are great, if you can afford them, I prefer Superchargers, over turbos, but I've always been an ALL THROTTLE, NO BOTTLE fan myself.

I've scattered an engine in my younger days running NOS,

it got a bit too lean and...... well..... BOOM!!! BANG!!!! POWWW!!!
