Don't you love it when you advise the manufacturer of a severe curl problem and they come back with the test verdict on retained samples of that batch saying that is within acceptable standards.

Where is this goose when the curl causes lost film off the application board? The lab idiot probably has never fitted a sq.ft. in all his life.

I also said I don't want a credit so I'm not in for a free lunch but be aware.

Man, I h@te curling film. Really hard to get it contamination free when the stuff constantly rolls up on itslef.  :?

Yes TD....had another one this morning where I made sure to cut the front door across the roll so the curl was going north and south not east and west.

Put it on and I had more dirt in it than you'd find on a gravel road. God knows where it came from but sure as eggs it had something to do with the severe curl my friend.

Couldn't save it...junked it. Next attempt far better but gee within acceptable standards. I think not!!!! Pull the other one...it plays jingle bells.

QA's who can't tint are arseholes.

Guess that would depend on how they determine the standard...

One mfg in particular does test in the 100 foot packing room for curl.... they have a visual scale and have about 4 different tests they subject the film to coming from a master roll... both wet and dry.

If it curls around and touches itself, it's considered unacceptable, drilled to the core and trashed. Though the decisive ship point may be a milder in comparison, there is so many variables after this stage that can add more curl before it arrives to the shop.

Pity they didn't just send out another lot or run in exchange for that, Dev. It may have been in their 'acceptable' standards, but not yours... you're the client in need of service here. :lol6
