Guest keepitcool
ok so im bidding against this guy here and his big selling point and reasoning why he charges so much is because he takes out the seals and installs the film all the way to the edge of the glass he says to" avoid glass breakage problems by eliminating the gap of clear glass around the edge so that there isnt a difference in heat retention in the window" and also so there is no " ugly gap" around the edge. sooooooo what do you do on a wood framed window??? take a sawsall to it?this is the kind of @#$% I have to deal w/ here. along w/ some dumbass old man selling v$sta film for 2$ a square and under. Guest vclimber
How dark is the film that you want to put up? If it is 50% or lighter, the gap should not be a big deal... Old guy selling Vista for $2.xx/ft will probably keel over and die because he aint gonna make a living selling it for that much. we all know how much it costs. [*]360065 It looks nice but it will not prevent weak glass from cracking. Besides, if you are consulting the F2G chart and follow the guidlines, breakage is not likely to happen. Let's just hope he gets a good price for the jobs he quotes as this can only lift profitability for all. Devil
