I'm cruising ebay checkin out heat guns and I was wondering how hot a gun needs to get to be able to mold film? because the prices vary largely depending on whether you want 350-450 degrees or up to 1100 degrees

Go down to your locals home improvement center and in the paint department you will find heat guns. Get one that with take about $30 of your hard earned change and go for it. Most tinters use heat guns that reach 1100 degrees F. Anything hotter is not only harder to find, but it's overk1ll.
