ive just bin on a course and have got a place to do my tinting but im having some trouble with the back window of my car. it tuk me a while to find a place to do my tinting and now im paying for it (mostly in the way of wasting film :spit) The problem is where ive made the anchor in the middle im getting big fingers spreading when I shrink to close. I dont no if that makes sense but im getin frustrated and feel ive wasted a lot of cash! so any help would be most appreciated :spit

thats what im doing and its going really well except for the centre of the window! im guessing its because the centre is more curved maybe?! do you think moving the anchor line up or down a bit might help?

I work the center top out. Do you wear gloves so that you can split the fingers. If the fingers you are heating are to large it can cause havok. Try splitting the fingers and working smaller areas :spit

hey, I wet shrink mine, spray soapy water on, set the anchors, work out all the big fingers by heatin em and splittin emdo the whole glass, (sometimes fingers will appear in my anchor while I do this)....so I resmooth the anchor push the horizontal fingers to vertical and work out all the smaller fingers with a squeegee and heat gun until its a perfect fit on the window, just dont take a squeegee to it until the fingers are small enough do u dont crease em, and be sure to spray the outside of it down too to help ur squeegee slide smooth, thats how I do it :spit
