Hey guys, this is my first time posting at tintdude, im a honda buff and I do most of my posting at team-integra.net, g2ic.com and honda-tech.com.

After browsing through this board it seems you guys are pretty knowledgeable about tint, so I decided I would ask you guys for some advice. I'm contimplating ordering some pre-cut tint from http://www.tintkits.com . I dont know if it matters but I own a 1992 Acura Integra and plan on either 35% or 20% tint all around.

What do you guys think? Are there better sites out there?

Contrary to popular belief, tinting is NOT for the "DIYer" :music on this one, you will only be wasting your money and time, and wind up with a poorly installed job, even if the film is cut perfectly. Just save up the $ and have it done by a professional :please

That pre-cut kit stuff sounds good to the unsuspecting customer. its marketed to the DIY shadtree mechanic type that think tinting is like packing your wheel bearings :beer or rotating your tires..NOTHING looks worst than a halfazzed tintjob. I see that whole kit is 49 bucks? what happens if you mess it up? another 49 bucks? then another 49 bucks.

Look around on automotive forums for threads about tint and you will see the consensus is that tinting is NOT something you can do yourself. If you want to give it a try then go for it :please its fun to work on your own car. but pretty soon your gonna find out that that 49 dollar pre-cut stuff isnt all its cracked up to be. installing it is th hard part. That 92 TEG isnt exactly easy to tint. the rollup windows are tight as hizzzel on the top and that backglass is pretty nasty.

:music good luck if you get the kit and try it yourself though.

do yourself a favor and don't waste your money ,it will take you at least 3 tries on each window to even start to get the hang of it so you will need at least 3 kits at $49 each Hmmm $147 and trust me you will never get the back window :please

don't listen to these guys, you can do it yourself with that kit and save ALOT of money.

so ignore these guys. I mean come on-- there's only about 120 years of combined experience just from the ones who have posted. how much could they possibly know?

Like stated above, if you enjoy working on your own ride, have nerves of steel, and have a fat wallet go for it. But in all honesty, if you are looking for that "phat install" look, seek out a skilled tint shop. :trustme
