Doing 500 a day can be done, but I would not recommend it, Burn out

For residential limit to 250 square when you can.

Commercial is a different story

whereas one of those abor-squeege-ni's should easily master 500 per day :twocents

:lol2

Flat glass DMC :lol2 250 isn't squat. My rookie installer with 1.5 yrs. experience can do that EASILY. And don't question the install quality. :lol2:lol2 There are too many variables...wood, vinyl, aluminum....large windows, small windows.....ladder work, scaffolding....skylights... :lol2 It's all relative to the job. You have 20 6ft. vinyl sliders lined up in a row. :lol2 Seperate those into different rooms or areas of a building...add some ladder work and wooden frames and :bingo

I have done 300-325 sq/ft in a day.. being like 10am-5pm. It sucked, I was by myself, and I was cussing my boss out the whole time. I don't remember what time of windows they were since it was a couple years ago, but probably something like anderson or something.

While I got it done, and didn't have any problems with the job, I was beat when done. For the $$ I was making per hour, it was really, really not worth it. On the way home I unloaded greatly on my boss about being sent alone.... And no, I'm not a wimp, I just didn't make enough per hour to do a big job like that.

Should be about 100 sq ft per hour.

If you pay your guy hourly, maybe half that.

If he's on piece work and back charged for redo's, you'll get 100 clean sq ft per hour! :twocents

I average 100 sq ft per hour myself, and my installer( been with me 4 years now) averages the same.

And only top quality at that!

You can't tell me that 100 sq per hour is un-realistic.

I'm not talking about small colonial panes, but average sized residential or commercial units.

And I'm not talking about working a straight 8 hour day with no break, but after six hours, should have 600 sq ft on the glass.

Okay, work 5 hours per day, but have 500 sq ft on the glass.
