It probably was discussed behind closed doors... it's the shiznits for heat forming.

Pm Mdog and maybe he can fill you in. :coffee

It`s identiacal to the dryer sheet method only you use your choice of hand soap instead of a dryer sheet. :coffee I use IVORY in the bar form.

Just get a rag and get it wet and lather the soap up in it as if you were about to wash yourself :evilgrin then wipe it all over the glass, I like to go over that with a dry paper towel and smooth it out some and get all the excess off, but you dont have to do that if you dont want to, it makes it seem alot smoother if you do though.

Next just put the film on the glass in the H patern like POWDER or DRYER SHEETS :wall

This is how I do it too...it presses the film down without creasing any part that may not be shrunk yet :coffee

But really, isnt the clean-up of the soaf not worth it? And the fact that any wetness that gets on you tools get soapy? I do like the way the film sticks to it when you press on it..so anyone havea better way to get teh soap of the glass when its finshed? and someone try the car wax method I use, really its great, and wipes off easily! lol...

I tried this method the other day on a 2004 Civic hatchback back glass and for some reason I couldn't seem to get the sides to lay down when I shrink. When I use my hand to try to form an H to anchor the film the sides do not stick to the window and it also causes a really big finger on the 4 corners. Am I doing something wrong? :shock

clean up with soap? yea I just use mounting solutoin and a squegee. No mess no fuss. you may be useing too much soap. you only need a thin layer or film of teh soap for it to work right. I found useing too much makes it harder to do than usein a thin layer. but clean up is as easy as cleaning the back glass.

For the Wax, after it hazes, just wipe off the section where you secure the film (the H pattern) with a damp rag, then wipe it again with the wet one. You just ned to wipe off the wax first then wet it. If you wipe it with water, when you put your film on, it will dry and be wax again(so the film comes off). You reallly dont need much wax, use a damp paper towel, drpa couple spots on the glas, and rub it around. I even stopped applying the wax to the sides and middle, so I dont have to wipe it off. Just avoid applying the wax to the areas you want the film to stick to. And when you are done, it wipes off as easy as just wiping the glass off...
