Does anyone know how Manufacturers come up with glare reduction percentages? Seperate Question: Technically, how does the dual reflective film make it easier to see out at night than standard films? I'm starting in flat glass and just want to be able to answer the questions, if asked.

Interesting question.. I'll have to call my rep as well and see as I've often wondered that.

Regardless of what the sample sheet says, the place I used to work for told people tinting your windows got rid of all the glare.. :phone Used to p1ss me off cause after I would tint the windows, the customer would be like - wtf?? There's still glare.

My guess is it's just some formula taking in to account the amount of light that is blocked by the tint..

The actual formula is like... I am going from memory, I'll look at my notes when I get into the office tomorrow

It has to do with VLT, divided by (tser-(sc * something)- sc). It actually pretty complicated. Has something to do with overall heat perrformancein regards VLT to estimate what portions of the Visible Light Spectrum it is eliminating.

You couldn't just look at a competitor's film that lists glare reduction, and compare stats. It's weird. Something like CH-5 only reduces the glare 20% better than a 35% grey.
