Hello everyone. I'm new to the forum and I am located in Jackson, Mississippi.

I am looking at getting into the vehicle wrapping business and was curious to see how everyone gets business to do the wraps. ie: yellow pages, direct mail, or any other types of marketing.

we found the best way to get noticed is wrap your own vehicle(s) in a loud design, then go cold calling van dealers, etc. they tend to be all too keen to talk to you if you have something clever to show them.

we also find our website works well, www.signandtint.co.uk.

we have been wrapping now for 8 years and getting busier by the day!

its agreat way for people/companies to promote themselves. we also do a lot of plain colour wraps where say a customer leases a truck, car, van and wants a specific colour but dont want to respray the car as it will depreciate it.

we are in England UK. :thumb

an average 2- 3 full wraps a week, with part wraps and bits of rear end wraps most weeks.

we originally got into it from a coversation with a fellow tinter in germany 9 years ago, they colour wrap change all the taxis there, they have to be cream in colour by law, so no one wanted to spray their car cream.

we got in with some guys in another part of the UK who were willing to train us. we have also been on various courses to learn newer/better techniques. the vinyl plays a huge roll in successful wraps.

try and locate someone that you will be no threat to in a different area, im sure they will train you.

good luck

if you every visit the UK you are welcome to our premises to learn
