Window Tint/AM Reception

I recently bought a 2002 Saab 9-5 with fairly dark window tint. The AM reception in the car was great.

I had the window tint replaced yesterday with a lighter shade of tint. Sides and Rear Window. Now the AM reception is fairly poor.

Any ideas? Could the tinters have messed anything up. the tint is still "fresh/wet", could this make a difference?

Thanks

Mike

let it dry, then if the am is still not here, have a slit cut along the top defroster line before the lines

for the antenna

assuming the antena is on the glass like the defroster is, you did'nt mention how the tint place removed the old film, I would agree that you should let it dry out and then test the reception.

the only problem could be the film that was used, if it is metalized they put on , then it could be. if you didnt have problem before with the tinted windows, then there is your problem. but I've put on metallized film on saab's and no reception problem as of I know of. maybe take it to the dealer see what's up, most likely they'll blame the tint, which is not a surprise.
