Guest Braud Spectrum
Sometimes it's slag from where body work was done and sometimes I believe it's something do do with the defroster installation. Wont come off. I just tell the customer immediately so they don't think it's dirt under my tint.

blade
My winter truck has 'em. I just got the truck in late Nov. It had been rolled, the top of the cab had been cut off and replaced. Whoever did the work destroyed the windows. Pits and chunks everywhere from grinding and welding. Vents, doors, and slider. It's not dirt...I swear

tintman Pa
most times it is from grinder sparks or weld sparks. on new cars that have not had body work it is from the installation of the rear defroster , you will notice those vehicles have a braid wire behind the black on the glass. If that is the case the specks are clear and will come off. I usually get a new razor blade and carefully remove them one at a time clean the glass and check over to make sure they all came off . I have seen it on a few new cars I think the last was a honda civic.
tintman Pa
I have also seen a brand new cavalier with specks all over the back glass you couldn't see them till the glass was tinted ..I was like what the F...I thought someone spiked my water bottle...removed and recleaned you could feel them with a blade tinted the rest of the car and he had to take it to the dealer to get a new rear glass installed ...only saw that one time .
