Guest GeorgiaTinter
I try to aviod getting those old upper gaskets wet, they tend to keep "bleeding" dirt out. I spray down and away, never flushing the gasket out, works well for me. Good luck.

Guest nautiboi73
trim gasket trim film 1/16 smaller on all sides. use dry paper towel on all edges with hard card. that should help
Mr paladin
the last one I did I cleaned all the rubber seals best I could, dryed it with a heat gun then coverd all rubber all the way around with masking tape, when ready to install the film I do not wet the back glass only the film ,this keeps dirt from dripping down
TINT
old trucks? depending on how the gasket is, I just pull them out. after its done, cleanest job you'll ever see.
Guest thetintshop
I only do old trucks if the gasket is not dry and brittle so I can remove it. if it is too brittle, I make them buy a new one from me. if they refuse to buy a new one, I send them on down the road. not worth my time or my reputation to put out something that doesn't meet my standards. TINT
that's what I say, if they say "oh just do it on there" I say no because if something they see they dont like, it falls on me. screw that.
blade
If I can't take the back window out because of the old gasket then I do like NB and trim the gasket back a bit.
tintnfool
I do the same as Mr. P, only I don't tape the seal. Dry it up with the gun after towel dry with a card wrapped up, and only wet the film
