I don't micro cut my edges but I do however get them ext. close with VERY LITTLE gap of day light but the film never wants to stick when its that close I almost have to melt the top edge to keep it from coming off just had 2 redo's because I didn't notice it after the window was rolled up so what am I doibng wrong :beer

:lol  Alot depends on the film. Some can handle being pinched at the top, some can't. And weather plays a role.  Cold climates can play havoc with top edges.

toilet paper perhaps? :lol:beer

like OT says, has to do with the film you using, like LLUMAR tends to do that, I remember, I remember very well. annoying I say, except I file windows and even then it would roll back, and lets not forget when you peel the liner off, yucck.

Film has a tendency to roll back more so from a shaved or filed edge than from being installed 1/64-1/32 of n inch from the bevel edge.

Furthermore, since the adhesive on CPF's film is designed to be installed with specific solutions, not hand soap w/coconut oil or dish soap or shampoo, and if one tries to get the film too close to the edge, the above mentioned could very well happen. :lol

Oops... let's not forget the accumulated residuals on the glass surface from rubbing those weather strips is not easily removed with products designed for dishes, hands or hair cleaning. :beer
