oldtinter
Alot depends on the film. Some can handle being pinched at the top, some can't. And weather plays a role. Cold climates can play havoc with top edges.

Guest metint
? like LLUMAR tends to do that, I remember, I remember very well. annoying I say, except I file windows and even then it would roll back [*]238563 Film has a tendency to roll back more so from a shaved or filed edge than from being installed 1/64-1/32 of n inch from the bevel edge. Furthermore, since the adhesive on CPF's film is designed to be installed with specific solutions, not hand soap w/coconut oil or dish soap or shampoo, and if one tries to get the film too close to the edge, the above mentioned could very well happen. Oops... let's not forget the accumulated residuals on the glass surface from rubbing those weather strips is not easily removed with products designed for dishes, hands or hair cleaning. Besides Joe "Dirt-Off" has a rancid odor.
