Fixing rear defrost?

I go t my civic tinted by a local shop on this board this summer. They saved the lines, but theres no "heating" , or defrosting. A frieind told me a mettalic ink pen could work to reconnect the lines. Any ideas? They did a fablous job and didnt tear apart the lines, I just cant see crap when its frosted.

you can buy a kit at any auto parts store

if they didnt use a razor blade then you ok you just have to repair it on the sides.

Did you check to be sure the little ears on each side got reconnected or plugged back in nice and tite? Might be all that's wrong. If it had tint before and was stripped to retint there is a possibilty it will not work... ever, because Hondas..the older ones, have very fragile defrosters. I have seen tape from a temoprary tag pull a piece of the defroster line off.

10-4 that BS, the dealers love to put scotch tape on those temp. tags and as the customer rips it off, or even an experenced tinter gently pulling it off whoops, the old lines almost flake off and stay attached to the tape. = No workie!

Back to the question, if the plugs are making a good connection the lines may still show but might not be conducting current. When removing film from a rear window with defrosters I never promise to save the lines, I just try my best to save them.

Sometimes tinters do not plug them in after tinting the back glass

I checked, and both connections on both sides are made. It also looks like all the lines are connected. Is there anyway it coulda just stop carrying current, like it peeled the whatever off with the old tint?
