Guest SQUEEGEE
I'm sure Peter Gabriel would recommend a SledgeHammer.
aliveandawake
Its actually can be a bit easier, depending on how long it has been on. If you can get a corner or section free, you can really pull hard on it, getting it off in one piece, just leaving the adhesive. But if its been on for years, or installed on the outside Make sure you bing a full pack of stainless blades.

Guest metint
Actually best removed by scoring the film with your Olfa blade and take off about eight inche strips at a time. You never know when the peel strength of that adhesive will be greater than the strength of the pane of glass. I have removed S&S film and snapped a glass panel by trying to remove in one piece. After the film is off, saturate the adhesive, allow it to soak about 30 seconds and again saturate an area you wish to begin razoring. As long as the adhesive remains saturated it will razor up nicely, the minute it dries up it gets gummy again. I used baby shampoo anytime I removed the adhesive so it wouldn't get to snotty or slimey, which is what harsher chemicals will do.
