Kind of like a Ford Taurus but the back tray is smashed on the glass for the bottom !/2 inch. Beware- cut perfect or remove the rear dash. (Not too many of these out there luckily.)

I tried shrinking the back glass by shrinking the bottom first then setting the film down and shrinking the top of the film. It has vinyl top. When I installed I had huge fingers. Any suggestions? also is it necessary to remove the brake light?

I am having one heck of time trying to get my back window tinted on my MKZ. I went to Danny's Family Car Wash (One Armor) at their San Tan Village location and ended up purchasing Huper Optik Drei because I wanted to try and block as much heat as possible...this is Arizona after all and it's going to start getting quite hot. The installer said they had tinted a 2013 MKZ a few weeks ago and it shouldn't be a problem. My MKZ is a Hybrid and has the panoramic roof, which slides back over the top of the rear window. About 30 minutes into the install, the installer came and got me and said they have a problem. The installer pointed out that the rear window deck was presse…

Have a customer inquiring about this, gave me the typical "they're just flat windows should be easy for you" line from him. Does the back window need to come out? Do you pop panels or cut rubber seals? Any advice appreciated lol

Well this car kicked my ass. If I was to do a second one now I would fly throught it. I only tinted the back half of the car. Top of the panels pulled back, and I grapped the sweeps. I taped the felt on the quarter windows. The back seat came out with just two 10mm bolts by the seat belts. The brake light was a pain. Two screws on top, 4 underneath in the truck. then the deck can be pulled out. The back window wasnt that bad of a strink, but the dots were a pain to get to stick right.

THIS CAR WASN'T VERY FUN, VINYL OVERLAPPED REAR WINDOW & ONE SIDE ON REAR ROLL DOWNS. VERY CAREFUL CUTTING ON THIS CAR, CHARGE OUT THE AZZ ($250-UP). DO YOUR NORMAL DRY SHRINK (CAREFULLY) CUT ABOUT 1/2" BIGGER ALL AROUND. WHEN CUTTING OUT FOR DEFROSTER HOOK UPS, LOOK AT YOUR CUT YOU MAY HAVE TO POSITION THE FILM HIGHER OR LOWER SO YOU DONT HAVE A LIGHT LEAK. AFTER YOU HAVE INSTALLED FILM, IT WILL NEED SOME HEAT. NOT TOO MUCH YOU WILL BURN UP THE VINYL. THIS CAR SUCKS

Does the rear deck need to be taken out on these like the earlier models? Can the top of the door panels be popped back or will I need or should I remove the panels?

THOSE LITTLE WINDOW EASY TO INSTALL BUT ITS HARD TO DO THEM PERFECT BECAUSE OF THOSE LITTLE HAIRS AROUND IT .I GUESS THE ONLY WAY TO DO THEM PERFECT SPRAY AS LESS WATER AS YOU CAN AND APPLY THAT PEACE ONCE WITHOUT MOVING IT TO MUCH . SAME AS CROWN VICTORIA THOSE HAIR GUSKETS DIRVING ME CRAZY

I assume this car is lincons version of the ford fusion. The whole car is easy to tint EXCEPT for the gay little quarter windows on the back door....I have NO IDEA what ford was thinking about then they designed this crap. The little window is set in a rubber gasket that is has about 1 1/2 - 2 inches REVEAL, there is NO way to tuck the film that far because its tight as hell. If you guys are familiar with how a new body style accord quarter glass is you will understand this one. This design makes the whole tint job look lke crap.

Town Car 95 Factory Rear Window Scratch

There appears to be a scratch on the window surface (is there an outer plastic layer on the factory glass?). Where the scratch is, it's now clear, so it appears that a factory tint layer was scratched. The customer wants this fixed first before we tint it. Thanks. How do we repair this scratch?

Anyone have any experience with Madico 35% tint on an 02 Lincoln Town Car? I got a recommendation for a local shop that uses Madico so I wanted to get any insight that I could before I had the work done. Aside from Madico, does anyone know of a specific film manufaturer or shade that looks particularly good? I live in Upstate NY, so I can't go much darker than 35% without serious issues. If anyone has suggestions, as always, they're appreciated! busaj
