Hello everyone. This is my first time posting, but I have used TintDude as a resource for years. Just wondering if anyone is still using a Copam plotter. I bought this CP-3500 from USCutter about 10 years ago and it still works great for cutting vinyl. I have also used it in the past for cutting tint patterns and it did a fine job. If I remember right it was TintTek 20/20 software. The problem now is I don't know which software is compatible because the Copam brand is not listed anymore. On Monday I will call some companies to see if there is a generic driver that will work, but figured I would post in here to see if anyone have some helpful information. Thanks!

Has anyone used a US Cutter Titan2 cutter? Their website says that this series is good for cutting tint. I know some people say "US Cutter is crap" but that probably has to do with which model cutter you bought. the have a buyers guide and the shows that some are not suitable for tint. Through research I have learned that US Cutter brands devices from various manufacturers. So all of their models aren't manufactured the same, meaning that just because the model you bought is crap doesn't automatically make the one I'm looking into crap as well (It very well could end up being a crap product, but not just because the one you bought from US Cutter didn't work for y…

So I finally broke down a got a plotter, albeit a cheap one. Expected it would give me some issues along the way but figured I’d at least get a piece or two cut before that happened. I bought this off someone local and the best I could tell it had never been used or even taken out of the box. But it definitely has an issue with the carriage, not sure if this is indicative of the cheapness or it was mishandled somewhere along the way. There is a grinding and vibration coming from the carriage whenever it tries to track left or right but it usually won’t move. Sometimes it does but it will go the opposite direction then what I’m telling it. If I pl…

USCutter - Buy at your own risk!

Buyer beware. This company is an F rating with the Better Business Bureau for a reason! They do not honor warranties on their cutters. Bought a ZenCut green plotter that was leaving horrible pinch roller marks in the film that did not go away once the film was applied. They then told me to use only the outside pinch rollers only, which ended up causing the film to bind up EVERY time. Then they told me to modify the springs of the pinch rollers. But apparently none of this falls under a "Warranty issue". So now I am stuck with this 4 month old plotter, 8 more months of TinTek software that I can no longer use, 5 roland blades, and about 10 50'x40" rolls of SunTek…

Uscutter.com The SC and MH series. 50" cutters from 400 to 600 dollars. Seems super cheap compared to the 5k ones I was looking at. Trying to find out if either of these will work me though. I am jut starting out and won't be able to get serious for a few years due to my location. It will be a toy to play around with and I know "you get what you pay for" however all I want to know is can it cut window film and ppf? I would imagine it could since vinyl is thicker. Also can it interface with the more popular auto cutting software? Would like some unbiased responses before I talk to a sales rep. Thnks guys!

Cutter cuts back to origin during run

I am a novice with my machine, a USCutter sc40 with FlexiSTARTER and have run into my first problem. Randomly during a cut it will return to the starting point then continue back to where it left off then continue on cutting. This wouldn't be a problem if it didn't cut the whole time it travels to the origin and back. It does it randomly at different points for the same pattern. Sometimes there is no problem at all. Why would it all of a sudden do this? Thanks in advance, Mike

Has anyone used USCUTTER LaserPoint 24 before? I want to cut window tints and paint protection films with this. Will this device suffice? I think they sell it online for 399.99.

We have a UScutter CP-4050 for sale. Has probably no more than 50 single cuts on it. We bought it as a demo a little over a year ago. We primarily use Roland but at times like to see what else is available in the market. This cutter works well for vinyl and PPF. It cuts window film ok. It runs a little bit slower than a high end machine. This is due to it having stepper motors and not Digital Servo motors like you find in a Roland or Graphtech. They sell new from UScutter for $1499.99. Here is the link-UScutter CP Series cutters Selling for $1000.00 This includes everything you need to cut what ever media you desire, and is ready to cut. Two Year warranty From Octobe…

I know I have read that it cuts kinda slow and is somewhat loud but besides that, has anyone had real problems with these plotters such as mechanical faults? I got a place for the vinyl and all that but now will need to become a font hizzo and find a nice program so I can start creating some stuff. what software are most of you running and would you recommend using it or staying clear of it? im creating a table using a sliding glass door that will be framed about 3-4 feet off the ground with some bins underneath for scraps/trash and will have my computer mounted under there as well. anyone forsee a problem with the computer being underneath and also being that this wil…
